What is shot blasting:

Galvablast specializes in blasting, painting, power paint coating and nylon coating. Often blast cleaning is required to remove stubborn age old rust on material before galvanizing, or blasting may be required to increase the zinc coating thickness during galvanizing by changing the surface profile of the metal. Blasting before painting will give a lasting and reliable bond of paint to steelwork, but if the ultimate in corrosion protection is required then one should specify the "Duplex System". "Duplex" painting of hot-dip galvanized steel improves the aesthetic appearance, increases corrosion resistance and consequently the life expectancy of the galvanized structure.
